The club would like to welcome back Lee Jewitt to the managers position at The Welfare Park. Lee led the club to one of our best seasons in several years last season (2015/16) but due to family and business reasons felt he could not be at the helm for 2016/17. However, following our poor start to the season where we slipped to bottom of the league after the 3-0 defeat to Stockton, the club departed company with Chris Blakelock and approached Lee to see if he could make a retuen and lead the club again. Thankfully he said yes and at first took temporary charge against Chester Le Street in the FA Vase. This (heavy) defeat in the Vase was soon forgotten about and he got back down to business bringing in a few players that he had had with him last season. The impact was immediate and we won our first game of the season when we defeated Thornaby 3-2.
